Goliad's 'Singing Mayor' Receives
Banquet, February 26, 2010
Left to Right: Carlos Perez, Board Member; Diana Rubio, Board Member; Pat Morales, Chairman; Jay Harvey, Mayor, Recipient; Yvonne Gonzales-Toureilles, District 35, Representative; Linda Rodriguez, Chamber President and Manager.

"Anice Read Memorial Award: The Goliad Main Street Board of Directors selected an award recipient for the Anice Read Memorial Award who most embodies the spirit of the Main Street program. Though it usually entails a sound system and a microphone, this year's recipient is always happy to be the official emcee for Goliad Main Street events like Easter Egg Hunt on the Lawn, Scare on the Square and even the dinner at the Texas Main Street Manager's Summer Training hosted here in Goliad. Getting to be known as the "Singing Mayor" far and wide, the Main Street Program is very proud of the continued support by this year's Anice Read Memorial Spirit of Main Street Award - Jay Harvey."
