Shiner Heritage Quilters
This is a picture of the quilt car that was "unveiled" at the Shiner Heritage Quilters first-ever quilt show in Shiner, March 20 and 21, 2009. The car was selected as the "best national quilting idea ever" by C&T Publishing Company, (national quilt day is March 21st), won 1st place in the Shiner Half-Moon Holidays Parade July 4, 2009 and second place in the Moulton Jamboree Parade July 26, 2009. It was featured on the front page of the Victoria Advocate March 20, 2009, edition and the Shiner Gazette, March 19th edition. The quilt was pieced and sewn together by guild members. It has become the "signature" of the guild.

Indianoloa and Matagorda Island 1837-1887 by Linda Wolff provides a local history and visitor's guide for this lost seasport and barrier island on the Texas Gulf Coast. Henry Wolff, Jr. has been writing about this area since 1963 when he joined the staff of the Victoria Advocate. Henry's Journals are collections of his columns. His Journal Historically Speaking reflects his interest in Fort St. Louis, the mission period and development of the Texas longhorn cattle fro the mission herds, the first great catlle ranch in Texas having its beginnings when Mission Espiritu Santo was located on the Guadalupe River.

Dr. Robert Shook displays his new book, Caminos y Entradas, Spanish Legacy of Victoria County and the Coastal Bend,1689 -1890 published by the Victoria County Heritage Department. Dr. Shook served as Chairman of the Spanish Legacy Exhibition Planning Committee at the Museum of the Coastal Bend.
This Exhibit was on display during 2008.
